Luna Optics LN-ELIR-3 Extended Range IR Illuminator

The Luna Optics LN-ELIR-3 extended range IR illuminator now built from new thermoplastic materials, which are lighter and stronger than aluminum versions. The unit employs a new control switch system allowing smooth brightness adjustment and features innovations such as dual-step control to prevent the laser from accidentally turned on, protective cover, and a light indicator allowing the user to see when the laser is working.

The Luna Optics LN-ELIR-3 extended range IR illuminator is compatible with any Gen-1, Gen-2(2+) and Gen-3 night vision unit and provides an adjustable uniform beam of infrared light, useful for situations where the amount of ambient light is not sufficient to see clearly. Nine-power level adjustment wheel allows the user to fine-tune the beam’s intensity perfectly to augment the outside ambient light conditions and to preserve some of the battery’s life. You can narrow the beam to increase the viewing distance, or widened, to illuminate up the entire field of view (depending on the viewing distance). You can adjust the beam along the X and Y-axis to position it precisely in the center of the view of your night vision device. Luna Optics LN-ELIR-3 extended range IR illuminator is compact and lightweight yet it is the most powerful IR illuminator currently available.

NOTE: Eye-safe civilian-legal IR illuminators or IR or visible laser devices of any kind will damage or destroy night observation devices such as AN/PVS-14 monoculars or ANVIS goggles if the beam is directed into the device, either directly or by specular reflection (mirror), so use extreme care when operating IR devices around night vision devices.
