Description
MOD Armory Universal Smartphone Adapter for Night Vision Filming
MOD Armory Universal Smartphone Adapter for Night Vision Filming attaches virtually all smartphones to a PVS-14 night vision monocular with a screw-in eyecup flange for still and video photography.
This adapter safely and securely holds a smartphone in place behind the PVS-14 ocular, aligning the camera precisely and providing maximum field of view and zoom capability for the camera. A jam-nut clamps against the ocular flange to hold the phone in any orientation relative to the PVS-14’s mounting plate. This permits vertical and horizontal frame orientations when the PVS-14 Universal Phone Adapter is used on a tripod or weapons mount.
Made in the U.S.A. of precision machined anodized aluminum
Two options available:
- Smartphone Adapter – All you need for most PVS-14’s
- Bushing Adapter with Smartphone Adapter – Choose this option if you have an Optronics brand eye piece, an eyecup retaining ring that is glued in, or a PVS-7
If you have the Optronics brand eyepiece, you will also require the bushing adapter. Please see the picture of the eyepiece for identification.

Tips: How do you know if your eye cup retaining ring is glued in? You can look for glue on the inside surface of the eye piece where the retaining ring screws in. Does your ring have a “split” for a tool, or is it smooth? If it is smooth, it is most likely glued in, if there is a split, it may not be. Don’t use more force than you can exert with your hand — that means it is glued in.
Be sure to turn OFF your flash before use. No one wants an inadvertent flash going off during night maneuvers.
